Feminist Issues of The Now Pt.2
In the series, Feminist Issues Of The Now, I attempt to illustrate current issues that need to be fought in Feminism today by creating collages using found imagery. The pieces involve black and white images montaged together with punchy lines meant to really push the viewer in understanding the true meaning of feminism. It is clear that Barbara Kruger was a huge inspiration for this project as I find her pairing of images and text to be incredibly captivating and poignant. The series covers issues such as the Gender Wage Gap all the way to the Sex Trade. These eight images highlight what I and many others feel are the battles that need to be fought in the world of gender inequality.
